To Hoop or Not To Hoop?

At Amazing Alterations, we usuallly offer hoop skirts for all brides for their wedding gowns.  Why?  They really provide comfort to the bride during her wedding day.  They really help in keeping the fabric away from her legs, and providing air flow.  Sometimes, they can eliminate the need to do a hem, by lifting the skirt hem up just a bit, and in doing so, provides the detail of the skirt to show more fluidly.

When we have brides that come in with crinolines, and have them try on both, to see the difference.  So before you buy a crinoline from the bridal shop, try a hoop skirt first.  They are terrific for all types of dresses, from ball gown, fit and flare, mermaid, and trumpet.  To see dresses with hoops in them, check out our Hoop page.

If you are doing an outside wedding venue, a desination wedding, or just simply want to be super comfortable for your day, ask us about our hoop skirts.  Call today for an appointment.  763-432-5243.
